Â
Manish Mehta of the New York Daily News reports that the Jets have agreed to terms on a deal with TE Jeff Cumberland.
- Mehta adds that Cumberland receives a three-year contract from the Jets.
Mehta reported earlier in the day that the Jets were in “serious negotiations” with Cumberland, so they must have been convincing to prevent him from meeting with other teams on Saturday.
In 2013, he caught 26 passes for 398 yards and four touchdowns over the course of 15 games. According to Pro Football Focus, Cumberland was an above average receiving tight end, although he struggled considerably in regards to blocking.
