Green Bay was reportedly “hoping for the best but fearing the worst” regarding Abbrederis knee.

“I haven’t had time to sit down with the medical staff,” coach Mike McCarthy said on Friday. “Right now, he has a knee. He completed practice yesterday.”

Michael Rodney of PackerUpdate.net posted a tip he received from a reader earlier this morning that Abbrederis could have a torn ACL, so there has been speculation floating around online for a few hours now that this could the injury he’s dealing with.

Abbrederis is a local favorite after walking on at the University of Wisconsin and going to have a remarkable college career.

The Packers have a lot of depth at receiver, so it’s not as though they were counting on Abbrederis playing a major role in year one. Although, he has been working as a kick returner, which happens to be a need for Green Bay.
