Report: Steelers Will Start RB Isaac Redman In Week 1

Dale Lolley of Observer-Reporter reports that the Steelers will start RB Isaac Redman in week 1, assuming that rookie Le’Veon Bell is in fact unable to go.

Bell is expected to miss six to eight weeks due to a foot injury he suffered a little over a week ago. Some expected Jonathan Dwyer to handle the workload with Bell out, but it appears as though the Steelers feel better about moving forward with Redman.

Redman, 28, started five games for the Steelers last season and was underwhelming in all but one of those games. Dwyer will likely see some snaps as well, this at but it’s pretty hard to predict the exact split point in time.

  1. You changed what you originally wrote. 2 days ago it said something along the lines that Tomlin favors Redman despite not accomplishing anything.
