Following his release from the Colts on Monday, Ricky Jean-Francois‘ agent, Drew Rosenhaus, expects his client to have an active market over the next few weeks, per Ian Rapoport.
Rapoport points out that the Eagles really liked Jean-Francois as a free agent just a year ago, so they could be one team to keep an eye on the in the coming days.
Jean-Francois, 28, ultimately secured a four-year, $22 million contract that included $5.5 million guaranteed from the Colts, and it’s not as though he was a horrible player last season.
In fact, Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 26 defensive end in a 3-4 system out of 47 qualifying players.
Last year, Jean-Francois appeared in all 16 games and recorded 28 tackles, three sacks, a fumble recovery and six pass defenses for the Colts.
It would not be surprising to see him line up a few visits in the coming days.
