Mike Triplett of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reports that C Olin Kreutz will walk away from the game and the New Orleans Saints because “he no longer feels passion and doesn’t want to just collect paycheck,” according to his agent.
Kreutz, 34, has had a pretty rough season to this point which has forced the team to try to get more creative with their interior offensive line. In recent games the Saints passing attack has looked to be less productive and a lot of that has had to do with the pocket collapsing on Drew Brees. New Orleans will now look to Brian De La Puente to solidify the position. Kreutz’s is a six-time Pro Bowler whos career has spanned 14season’s in the NFL.
