Saints Sign TE Coby Fleener To A Five-Year, $36M Deal

Mike Garafolo reports that the Saints are signing former Colts TE Coby Fleener to a contract.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that the Saints are signing Fleener to a five-year, $36 million contract.

According to Jason La Canfora, the Saints were interested in TE Ladarius Green before it became clear that he was signing with the Steelers.

However, La Canfora adds that the Saints have now turned their attention to Colts TE Coby Fleener.

Fleener, 27, is a former second-round pick of the Steelers back in 2012. He’s played out his rookie contract and is now in position to be test the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Fleener appeared in all 16 games and recorded 54 receptions for 491 yards receiving and three touchdowns for the Colts.
