Mike Triplett of ESPN reports that while it’s still possible a deal could materialize between the Saints and RB Terrance West, nothing has been finalized yet.

According to Triplett, the Saints also worked out veteran RB Shane Vereen on Wednesday.

Herbie Teope of NFL Media is reporting that the Saints are signing RB Terrance West to a contract on Wednesday.

West was among a group of veteran free agents who worked out for New Orleans on Wednesday including Jamaal Charles and it looks like he was the most impressive of the bunch.

West, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2014. He spent just one year in Cleveland before he was traded to the Titans in 2015 for a conditional seventh-round pick.

The Titans cut him loose a few weeks into the 2015 season and West later signed on with the Ravens. Baltimore brought West back on a one-year restricted deal last year.

In 2017, West appeared in five games for the Ravens and rushed for 138 yards on 39 carries (3.5 YPC) and two touchdowns to go along with two receptions for 23 yards receiving.
