Saints Trying Out OTs Sam Young & Ulrick John

Pro Football Talk reports that the Saints are bringing in free agent OT Sam Young for a tryout.

Aaron Wilson adds that the Saints are also working out OT Ulrick John next week.

Young, 31, is a former sixth-round pick of the Cowboys back in 2010. He lasted just one year with Dallas before being claimed off of waivers by the Bills.

Young had a brief stint with the Jaguars before signing on with the Dolphins for the 2015 seasons. He’s been on and off of Miami’s roster since then.

In 2018, Young appeared in 12 games for the Dolphins and made one start.

John, 26, is a former seventh-round pick of the Colts back in 2014. He lasted over a year in Indianapolis before signing on to the Dolphins’ active roster.

John had brief stints with the Cardinals and Packers before the Patriots signed him for the 2018 season. Unfortunately, John spent the season on injured reserve.

John has tried out for the Falcons and Seahawks this offseason.

In 2017, John was active for five games.
