Seahawks HC Pete Carroll: Cliff Avril Out Indefinitely with Injury

According to a tweet by ESPN Radio 710 in Seattle, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll said that defensive end Cliff Avril is out indefinitely with a nagging hamstring injury suffered last week. There is no time table for his return.

Avril has been hurt all offseason. Since joining Seattle as a free agent, he missed almost all of the spring practices with a foot injury. The aggravated hamstring is just the latest injury suffered.

Carroll kept Avril out of last week’s preseason game against Green Bay but did allow him to work out prior to kickoff.

It is unknown whether or not this injury will prevent him from playing Week 1 when the Seahawks travel to Carolina.
