Seahawks Placing RB Rashaad Penny On IR, Activating OL Ethan Pocic

The Seattle Seahawks have placed RB Rashaad Penny on injured reserve with an ACL tear and activated OL Ethan Pocic from injured reserve.

Penny, 23, is a former first-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2018. He’s currently in the second year of his four-year, $10,765,436 contract that includes a $5,909,408 signing bonus with the Seahawks.

Penny’s rookie deal includes a fifth-year option for the Seahawks to pick up in 2021.

In 2019, Penny has appeared in 10 games for the Seahawks and rushed for 370 yards on 65 carries (5.7 YPC) to go along with eight receptions for 83 yards receiving and four touchdowns.

Pocic, 24, is a former second-round pick of the Seahawks back in 2017. He’s currently in the third year of his four-year, $4.40 million contract and stands to make base salaries of $865,822 and $1.06 million over the final two years of the agreement.

Seattle designated Pocic to return a few weeks ago.

In 2019, Pocici has appeared in two games and made one start for the Seahawks before being placed on injured reserve.
