Steelers Second-Round CB Senquez Golson May Need Season-Ending Surgery

According to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, Steelers second-round CB Senquez Golson may need to undergo season-ending shoulder surgery.

Golson has been on the team’s physically unable to perform list since the start of training camp back on July 25 after he told team officials he thought that he may have shoulder injury.

Pittsburgh was clearly hoping that Golson could help them transition from long-time cornerback CB Ike Taylor, but it looks like there’s at least some question as to whether he’ll even suit up for the 2015 season at all.

The Steelers brought in some cornerback depth over the weekend when they traded for Brandon Boykin.

During his four years at Ole Miss, Golson recorded 136 tackles, six tackles for a loss, a half sack, 16 interceptions, one defensive touchdowns and 19 pass defenses.
