Texans Activate WR DeAndre Carter From PUP List

According to Aaron Wilson, the Texans have activated WR DeAndre Carter from their physically unable to perform list.

Carter was put on the PUP list last month due to a hamstring injury.

It’s hard sitting on the sidelines, cheering your guys on,” Carter said. “I’m happy to be back, ready to get to work, ready for the season.”

Carter, 25, originally signed with the Baltimore Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Sacramento State back in 2015. He lasted just a few months in Baltimore before he was waived coming out of the preseason.

Carter had brief stints with the Raiders, Patriots and 49ers before signing on with the Eagles last year. He’s been on and off of the Eagles’ roster this season before eventually being claimed by the Texans.

In 2018, Carter appeared in 14 games for the Texans and caught 22 passes for 216 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also totaled 425 kick return yards, 249 punt return yards and no touchdowns.
