Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle reports that the Texans are signing DL Eddie Vanderdoes to their practice squad and released DT Javier Edwards from the unit.

Here’s the Texans updated practice squad:

  1. OT Rick Leonard
  2. RB Karon Higdon Jr
  3. WR Chad Hansen
  4. DB Jonathan Owens
  5. T Elijah Nkansah
  6. OT Kyle Murphy
  7. QB Alex McGough
  8. TE Jerell Adams
  9. DT Javier Edwards
  10. DL Eddie Vanderdoes

Vanderdoes, 24, is a former third-round pick of the Raiders back in 2017. The Raiders waived him with an injury designation coming out of the preseason and he later reverted to their injured reserve list.

Vanderdoes was in the third year of his four-year, $3.261 million contract when he was placed on injured reserve and later released by the Raiders.

In 2017, Vanderdoes appeared in all 16 games for the Raiders and recorded 18 tackles and no sacks.
