The Houston Texans have traded wide receiver Keshawn Martin to the New England Patriots on Wednesday, according to Mark Berman.

Martin, 25, is a former fourth-round pick on Martin back in 2012. He is in the final year of his four-year, $2.512 million rookie contract that included a $412,560 signing bonus. He stands to make a base salary of $660,000 for the 2015 season.

According to OverTheCap.com, trading will free up $660,000 in available cap space while creating $103,140 in dead money.

In 2014, Martin appeared in all 16 games for the Texans and caught six passes for 78 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also total 154 punt return yards.
