The Market For Leigh Bodden

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that Leigh Bodden went unclaimed and will now be able to sign with a team of his choosing.

SI.com’s Peter King lists the Buffalo Bills, Cincinnati Bengals,Kansas City Chiefs, New York Jets, San Francisco 49ers and Tampa Bay Buccaneers as possible options for recently CB Leigh Bodden. King notes that each of these teams have enough cap room to handle Bodden’s remaining $2 million salary.

Any team with interest in acquiring him will until 4 pm EST today to place a claim.

The New England Patriots made the decision to release Bodden on Friday despite leading the league in passing yards allowed. The moved seemed a bit strange as they were only a few days away from playing a tough Steelers team but the Patriots aren’t afraid to make quick roster decisions.
