Titans Place TE Craig Stevens On Season-Ending I.R. & Promote TE Brett Bracket

The Tennessee Titans are placing TE Craig Stevens on season-ending injured reserve Saturday and promoting TE Brett Bracket to their active roster, according to Jim Wyatt.

Terry McCormick reported earlier in the week that Stevens underwent season-ending surgery a few days ago for a quad injury, so this news doesn’t come as much of a surprise.

Stevens, 30, wound up restructuring his contract and taking a pay cut with the Titans back in April. His 2014 season ends after appearing in five games and catching two passes for 26 yards and no touchdowns.

Brackett, 26, actually signed with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Penn State back in 2011, but was later waived from the team’s practice squad in September. He has since had brief stints with the Jaguars, Eagles and Cardinals.
