Titans Staff Member Tests Positive, Team Closes Facility

Per Turron Davenport, the Titans released a statement this morning revealing a staff member tested positive for COVID-19 following Saturday’s round of testing. The team has closed its facility again.

“This morning we learned that a staff member tested positive. We have temporarily closed our facility and are in communication with the league on the next steps.”

Tennessee had once again strung together multiple days of negative tests. But this latest result once again puts their Week 5 game in doubt.

The NFL previously pushed the Titans’ game against the Bills from Sunday to Tuesday in the hopes of no more cases in Tennessee. It remains to be seen whether the game goes on or what the NFL decides to do.

The Titans have had 25 players and coaches test positive over the past few weeks now.

The NFL is investigating the Titans for their COVID-19 outbreak and there has been a lot of talk about severe punishment being handed down by the league.

Some believe Tennessee should be forced to forfeit the game, but the NFL has made it clear that this isn’t something they’re seriously considering right now.

We’ll have more regarding the Titans’ game as the news is available.
