According to Adam Schefter, the Titans received two more positive tests for COVID-19, including one player and one staff member.
Schefter adds it means the team facility won’t be opened until Wednesday at the earliest as the league needs to see two consecutive days without positive tests from the team.
The Titans are scheduled to host the Bills next week and at this rate that game is very much in jeopardy as well. Tennessee already had its Week 3 game against the Steelers postponed to Week 7.
Per Erik Bacharach, that now brings Tennessee’s outbreak to 20 people, including 10 players and 10 staff. Their first-round OT Isaiah Wilson was already on the COVID-19 list.
Here’s the updated list of Titans’ players on the COVID-19 list:
- OT Isaiah Wilson
- DB Greg Mabin (practice squad)
- LS Beau Brinkley
- DT DaQuan Jones
- TE Tommy Hudson (practice squad)
- OLB Kamalei Correa
- CB Kristian Fulton
- WR Adam Humphries
- WR Cameron Batson (practice squad)
- DL Jeffery Simmons
- An unnamed player from today’s test results.
The COVID-19 list was created this summer for a player who either tests positive for or who has been quarantined after having been in close contact with an infected person or persons.
Players will remain on the list until they are medically cleared to return.
We’ll have more on the Titans as the news is available.
