Vincent Jackson Likely To Play Against The Lions

The North County Times reports that there’s “little doubt” that Chargers WR Vincent Jackson will play against the Detroit Lions this weekend.

Chargers head coach Norv Turner did mention that he’s “hopeful” and “expectant” that Jackson will able to play on Saturday despite missing two practices this week with a groin injury.

Jackson has been by far their most important weapon and the return of Antonio Gates and Malcom Floyd has helped Phillip Rivers out a lot. Losing any of them allows opposing defenses to key in their best receiver and force Rivers to make plays from within the pocket. If Jackson is able to play the Chargers have a good shot of winning Sunday’s game despite being on the road against the Lions.
