The Washington Football Team announced Monday that they’ve placed QB Kyle Allen on the injured reserve list after undergoing surgery for a dislocated ankle and signed DE Jalen Jelks to their practice squad.

Here’s Washington’s updated practice squad:

  1. DT David Bada (International)
  2. CB Aaron Colvin
  3. QB Steven Montez
  4. C Ross Pierschbacher
  5. CB Cole Luke
  6. OL David Steinmetz
  7. LB Jordan Kunaszyk
  8. DT Devaroe Lawrence
  9. K Kaare Vedvik
  10. TE Marcus Baugh
  11. WR Trevor Davis
  12. DB Jordan Brown
  13. LB Justin Phillips
  14. WR Tony Brown
  15. DE Jalen Jelks

Allen, 24, signed on with the Panthers as an undrafted free agent back in 2018. Allen was waived coming out of the preseason before the Panthers added him to their practice squad before being promoted late in the season.

The Panthers re-signed Allen to a one-year contract this offseason, but later traded him to Washington for a fifth-round pick.

In 2020, Allen appeared in four games for Washington and completed 69 percent of his passes for 610 yards, four touchdowns and one interception. He also rushed for 26 yards and a touchdown.
