Colts Waive DB Frankie Williams From I.R. With Settlement

The Indianapolis Colts officially waived DB Frankie Williams on injured reserve on Monday with a settlement.

Williams, 24, wound up signing a three-year, $1.62 million contract with the Colts as an undrafted free agent out of Purdue back in May. He was unfortunately among their final roster cuts coming out of the preseason last year but eventually signed on to their practice squad at the start of the season.

Williams was on and off of the Colts’ active roster throughout the year before he was waived with an injury designation last week and later placed on injured reserve.

In 2016, Williams appeared in three games and recorded one tackle and no interceptions.
