NFL Notes: Chip Kelly, Bears, Eagles, Panthers & Seahawks

Chip Kelly

An agent for a starting player on the Eagles tells Matt Lombardo of NJ.com that HC Chip Kelly has “lost the team.

Chip Kelly has lost the team,” said the agent “Between the losses and his bull[bleep] methods that aren’t working, I can tell you that the players have tuned him out.”

Bears

  • Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that Matt Forte will be the Bears starting running back “in name only.”
  • Chicago will shuffle both rookie Jeremy Langford and Forte in and out of the lineup.
  • According to Rapoport, the Bears view Langford as the more explosive players.

Giants

A recent MRI on Giants TE Larry Donnell‘s neck showed that his injury still hasn’t completed healed.

We thought it was just spasms and a strain,” Donnell said, via the New York Daily News. “I feel fine now, but I mean, obviously something is wrong. So we’ve just got to figure it out and see what the process is. I thought I’d be OK by now. The plan was to go into the bye and it would be 100%. But it’s not.

Panthers

Seahawks

Seahawks HC Pete Carroll told reporters on Wednesday they will activate CB Jeremy Lane from the physically unable to perform list this week.

“Jeremy’s going to be active,” Carroll said, via Pro Football Talk. “And if he makes it through the week okay, he’s going to be dressing and playing.
