Giants Place TE Larry Donnell On I.R. & Promote CB Tramain Jacobs

The New York Giants announced that they’ve placed TE Larry Donnell and LS Zak DeOssie on season-ending injured reserve Tuesday.

Donnell, 27, has been dealing with a neck injury for the past month or so. He’s in the final year of his contract and stands to make a base salary of $585,000 this season before being an exclusive rights free agent next year.

This year, Donnell had appeared in eight games and recorded 29 receptions for 223 yards receiving and two touchdowns for the Giants.

Jacobs, 23, originally signed on with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent out of Texas A&M back in May of last year. He was, unfortunately, among the Ravens’ final roster cuts at the start of the season, but he later signed on to the Giants’ practice squad.

This season, Jacobs has appeared in two games and recorded two tackles for the Giants.
