Draft

  • According to Mike Mayock, “there’s been some momentum for Ronnie Stanley in the top 10, even over Laremy Tunsil.” (CFB 24/7)
  • The Colts worked out Jacksonville University WR Andy Jones this week. Jones previously visited with the Cardinals and Jaguars. (Aaron Wilson)

Chargers

  • Chargers GM Tom Telesco said that talks with teams about possibly trading down have “really slowed down” since Wednesday. (Michael Gehlken)
  • Telesco said that Oregon DE DeForest Buckner has all the measurables they look for in a 3-4 DE. (Tom Krasovic)
  • According to Telesco, they plan to wait to finalize who they’ll take at No. 3 overall because of a trade possibility. (Michael Gehlken)

Cowboys

  • Cowboys VP Stephen Jones confirmed that Ohio State DE Joey Bosa is being strongly considered at No. 4 overall: “He’s certainly one of the best players in this draft. He’ll certainly get strong consideration from us.” (Jon Machota)

Texans

  • Texans GM Rick Smith mentioned that they could have secured a draft pick for QB Brian Hoyer:I think I could have gotten a pick but in fairness to him (Hoyer), we felt it was the right time for him and us to make the move.” (John McClain)
  • Smith also said that he believes this is a “strong” receiver class: “This is a strong wide receiver class, a good class. There’s depth at several positions throughout.” (John McClain)
