49ers OL Shon Coleman Out Several Months With Fractured Fibula/Dislocated Ankle

Update:

The San Francisco 49ers announced Sunday that OL Shon Coleman underwent surgery this morning to repair a fractured fibula and dislocated ankle.

49ers OL Shon Coleman went down with an ankle injury during Saturday’s preseason game and was carted off the field after the medical staff placed an air cast on his ankle.

San Francisco has already ruled Coleman out for the game with an ankle injury.

Coleman, 27, is a former third-round pick of the Browns back in 2016. The Browns traded Coleman to the 49ers for a seventh-round pick last year.

Coleman is currently in the third year of his four-year, $3.27 million contract and set to make a base salary of $755,280 for the 2019 season.

In 2017, Coleman was active for all 16 games for the Browns and was rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 56 offensive tackle out of 79 qualifying players.

We’ll have more regarding Coleman as the news is available.
