According to Ian Rapoport, the 49ers plan to bring WR Deebo Samuel back to practice this week.

However, San Francisco plans to ease Samuel back into the swing of things as he comes back from injured reserve with his foot injury. The goal, per Rapoport, is for Samuel to return in two weeks against the Dolphins in Week 5.

Samuel sustained a broken foot back in June and was activated from their non-football injury list before being later placed on injured reserve.

Samuel, 24, was the No. 36 overall pick by the 49ers out of South Carolina in 2019. He’s entering the second year of a four-year, $7,697,356 rookie contract that includes a $3,618,076 signing bonus.

In 2019, Samuel appeared in 15 games for the 49ers and caught 57 passes for 802 yards and three touchdowns. He also had 14 rush attempts for 159 yards and another three touchdowns.
