AFC North Notes: Bengals, Browns, Ravens

Bengals

Browns

  • Jake Trotter of ESPN writes that Titans OT Jack Conklin has been on the Browns’ radar and figures to be one of their top free-agent targets this offseason.
  • Should Conklin prove to be too costly for the Browns, Trotter mentions Eagles LT Jason Peters as a possible stopgap solution for them. Otherwise, they could consider a cheaper option such as Eagles OT Halapoulivaati Vaitai.
  • The Browns could also address the position in the draft and target Louisville’s Mekhi Becton, Georgia’s Andrew Thomas, Alabama’s Jedrick Wills or Iowa’s Tristan Wirfs.
  • Redskins LT Trent Williams is available for trade and has been linked to Cleveland for some time now. Trotter mentions that the asking price for Williams “appears to be in the neighborhood of a Day 2 draft pick plus.”
  • Another option for the Browns could be to target an impact guard like Patriots’ Joe Thuney, writes Trotter.
  • Trotter mentions that Case Keenum is a name to watch for the Browns’ backup quarterback job.

Ravens

  • Josina Anderson reports that the Ravens have had communications with free-agent LB Christian Kirksey, but are not among the teams which have hosted him for a visit.
