Bengals
Bengals QB Andy Dalton tells Mike Silver of NFL Media that he understands the business side of things and that there’s still a scenario where he could be back in Cincinnati for the 2020 season.
โI truly believe they want whatโs best for me, but I understand itโs a business, and you know how that goes,โ Dalton said. โWith the first pick, if they take a quarterback like everyone expects, that could trigger something. Thereโs even a scenario where I go back there.โ
Dalton was benched in favor of Ryan Finley last year before returning as the team’s starter.
โIt wasnโt the ideal situation โ being benched in the middle of the year, and then being brought back in,โ Dalton said of the situation. โI didnโt agree with [the benching], obviously, and I voiced that. But it was one of those things where I said to myself, โIf it does come back to me, Iโm gonna try to make the most of it.‘โ
