AFC North Rumors: Bengals, Browns, Ravens

Bengals

Bengals QB Andy Dalton tells Mike Silver of NFL Media that he understands the business side of things and that there’s still a scenario where he could be back in Cincinnati for the 2020 season.

โ€œI truly believe they want whatโ€™s best for me, but I understand itโ€™s a business, and you know how that goes,โ€ Dalton said. โ€œWith the first pick, if they take a quarterback like everyone expects, that could trigger something. Thereโ€™s even a scenario where I go back there.โ€

Dalton was benched in favor of Ryan Finley last year before returning as the team’s starter.

โ€œIt wasnโ€™t the ideal situation โ€” being benched in the middle of the year, and then being brought back in,โ€ Dalton said of the situation. โ€œI didnโ€™t agree with [the benching], obviously, and I voiced that. But it was one of those things where I said to myself, โ€˜If it does come back to me, Iโ€™m gonna try to make the most of it.‘โ€

  • Bengals executive Duke Tobin said of Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa‘s recovery process going well: “I was disheartened to see him go down. Heโ€™s such a likeable guy and such a competitive football player that itโ€™s good to see him up and going again.” (Ben Baby)

  • Mike Garafolo reports that Utah DE Bradlee Anae has had teleconference meetings with the Jets, Lions, Bears, Titans and, Browns recently. Garafolo also says that Anae will likely be chosen on the second day of the draft.

Ravens
