AFC Notes: Broncos, Browns, Chargers, Chiefs

Broncos

  • According to Nicki Jhabvala, Broncos restricted free agent C Matt Paradis has yet to sign his second-round tender, but will report for to the team on Monday for the start of the offseason workout program.
  • Jhabvala also reports that Broncos RFA DE Shaquil Barrett will report for the start of the Broncos offseason workout program on Monday.
  • Georgia LB Lorenzo Carter visited with the Broncos on Monday and is someone to keep an eye on for Denver, according to Mike Klis.

Browns

  • Multiple sources tell Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer that the Browns are not expected to pursue free agent WR Dez Bryant.
  • This shouldn’t come as a big surprise, considering that Cleveland just signed Jarvis Landry to a five-year, $75.5 million extension last week. (NFLTR)

Chargers

Regarding the team’s recent decision to rescind their restricted offer to DE Chris McCain, Chargers HC Anthony Lynn said they haven’t closed the door on him returning.

“This sport does have a business side to it,” Chargers coach Anthony Lynn said, per Eric Williams. “I think when you re-do Corey Liuget, it gives you some flexibility there, and we did some things with Chris. We think Chris is a heck of a player. The door’s definitely open for him to come back. We’ll just see how it works out.”

Chiefs

  • TCU OL Patrick Morris is flying to Kansas City on Monday for a pre-draft visit with the Chiefs. (Ian Rapoport)
  • Central Arkansas CB Tremon Smith is visiting with the Chiefs on Monday. (Terez A. Paylor)
