AFC West Rumors: Broncos, Chiefs, Raiders

Broncos

• Mike Klis says the buzz at the Combine is the Broncos will sign a starting cornerback in free agency. 
• Klis says Ronald Darby, Bryce Callahan, Bashaud Breeland, Pierre Desir, Steven Nelson and Kareem Jackson are among the top options available.  
• Denver could also bring back CB Bradley Roby if he moves off of his minimum of $10 million per season in a new deal. 
• While C Matt Paradis is still expected to hit the open market, he reportedly had a “productive” meeting with the Broncos during the Combine.  (Klis)
• Denver will not tender restricted free agent TE Matt LaCosse. (Klis)

Chiefs

• Mississippi State S John Abram says he has a formal meeting scheduled with the Chiefs.  (Brooke Pryor)
• Virginia S Juan Thornhill said he met informally with the Chiefs earlier this week.  (Pryor)
• Vanderbilt CB Joejuan Williams said he’s had both formal and informal meetings with the Chiefs and they went really well. (Pryor)
• Washington S Taylor Rapp has had formal and informal meetings with the Chiefs.  (Charles Goldman)
• Washburn DB Corey Ballentine has a formal meeting with the Chiefs tonight. (Pryor)

Raiders

• According to Pat Leonard of the NY Daily News, the buzz at the Combine is Raiders HC Jon Gruden is preparing to make a huge splash when free agency opens on March 13.  
• With three first round picks, loads of cap space and a roster bereft of star power, the Raiders could be in contention for stars like RB Le’Veon Bell and WRs Antonio Brown and Odell Beckham.  
• The Athletic’s Vic Tafur says he heard the Raiders have asked the Cardinals what it would take to move up to No. 1.  
• Tafur believes the Raiders will take a quarterback in the draft to try and develop, potentially someone like N.C. State’s Ryan Finley.
• Tafur doubts the Raiders will bring back G Kelechi Osemele, who’s due to make $10.2 million, especially after Oakland re-signed G Denzelle Good.
