Bears G Josh Sitton Expected To Miss Some Time With Ankle Injury

Brad Biggs of the Chicago Tribune reports that Bears G Josh Sitton is likely to miss some time after sustaining an ankle injury during Sunday’s game against the Jaguars.

Biggs mentions that while Ted Larsen replaced Sitton on Sunday, it’s possible the Bears could start Eric Kush in his place on Thursday.

Sitton, 30, is a former fourth-round pick of the Packers back in 2008. He was surprisingly cut loose by Green Bay coming out of the preseason after they were unable to trade him.

The Bears quickly signed him to a three-year, $21.75 million contract that includes $10 million guaranteed.

In 2016, Sitton has appeared in six games for the Bears and is rated by Pro Football Focus as the No. 4 guard out of 78 qualifying players.
