The Chicago Bears announced Saturday that they’ve re-signed WR Marc Mariani to a one-year deal.
Previous reports said that Mariani had interest from four teams including the Bears, 49ers and Raiders.
However, it appears as though the Bears were able to convince him that returning to Chicago on a one-year deal was in his best interest.
Mariani, 28, is a former seventh-round pick of the Titans back in 2010. He spent two years in Tennessee before catching on with the Bears 2014 and testing the open market as a free agent this year.
In 2015, Mariani appeared in all 16 games and totaled 22 receptions for 300 yards receiving and no touchdowns. He also contributed 418 kick return yards and 192 punt return yards for the Bears.
