Bears Signing Veteran TE Tony Moeaki To One-Year Deal

The Chicago Bears are signing veteran TE Tony Moeaki to a one-year deal following his tryout this week, according to Aaron Wilson.

Chicago actually worked Moeaki out last week, and apparently wanted to give him an extended look before offering him a contract.

Moeaki, 29, is a former third-round of the Kansas City Chiefs back in 2010. Since then, he’s dealt with a number of injuries including knee operations and head injuries.

After brief stints with the Bills and Seahawks, Moeaki signed on with the Falcons in March of last year and has been testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2015, Moeaki appeared in 10 games for the Falcons and caught three passes for 58 yards receiving and a touchdown.
