Ian Rapoport of NFL Media is reporting that the Bengals are closing in on a deal with free agent S George Iloka.

  • Albert Breer reports that the Bengals and Iloka are close to an agreement on a five-year deal worth about $30 million.

Iloka, 25, is a former fifth-round pick of the Bengals back in 2012. He played out his rookie contract and is now in line to cash in as one of the best safeties in this year’s free agent market.

In 2015, Iloka appeared in 12 games and recorded 47 tackles, one interception, and four pass defenses. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 15 safety out of 88 qualifying players.

We have him featured in our Top 100 – 2016 Free Agents list.
