Bengals Designate CB Darius Phillips To Return From Injured Reserve

The Bengals announced on Thursday they have designated CB Darius Phillips to return from injured reserve.

This officially opens a three-week window of time for Phillips to practice with the team before Cincinnati will need to add him to their active roster.

Phillips, 24, was drafted in the fifth round by the Bengals out of Western Michigan in 2018. He’s in the second year of a four-year, $2.7 million rookie contract.

In 2019, Phillips has appeared in three games for the Bengals and recorded one tackle, one interception and one pass defense. He’s also added 137 kickoff return yards.
