Bengals Place OT Jake Fisher On Injured Reserve

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Thursday that they’ve placed OT Jake Fisher on injured reserve with a back injury.

This opens a roster spot for OT Andre Smith, who was signed to a contract earlier in the day.

Fisher, 25, is a former second-round pick of the Bengals back in 2015. He’s currently in the final year of his four-year, $4.259 million contract that included $1.986 million guaranteed and stands to make a base salary of $705,000 for the 2018 season.

Fisher will be an unrestricted free agent next year for the first time in his NFL career.

In 2018, Fisher appeared in 11 games for the Bengals.
