Bengals WR A.J. Green Not Expected To Play In Week 6

Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network reports that Bengals WR A.J. Green is not expected to play against the Panthers this weekend after he met with his  foot doctor this morning.

Bengals HC Marvin Lewis confirmed that Green is dealing with a “little bit more” than just a turf toe injury and the overall expectation was that he was likely to miss Sunday’s game.

On top of this, Marvin Jones appears unlikely to play this weekend as well so the Bengals could be forced to use Mohamed Sanu, Brandon Tate and Dane Sanzenbacher as their top-three receivers.

Green, 26, aggravated his toe injury during Wednesday’s practice and was carted off the field. He has appeared in four games this season and has caught 17 passes for 314 yards and two touchdowns.
