Bills Placing WR Robert Woods On Season-Ending I.R. With Groin Injury

Rand Getlin of NFL Media reports that the Bills are placing WR Robert Woods on season-ending injured reserve with a groin injury.

Yesterday, reports said that Woods’ groin injury was “severe,” so this news shouldn’t come as a big surprise, especially considering where we are in the NFL season.

Woods, 23, is in the third year of his four-year, $4.917 million rookie contract that included $2.951 million guaranteed. He’ll make a base salary of $797,434 this season to go along with $1,018,650 in 2016.

In 2015, Woods appeared in 14 games for the Bills and recorded 47 receptions for 552 yards receiving and three touchdowns. Pro Football Focus has him rated as the No. 118 receiver out of 120 qualifying players.
