Bills Restructure FB Patrick DiMarco’s Contract

The Buffalo Bills and FB Patrick DiMarco have agreed to a restructured contract, according to the NFL’s transactions list.

According to Jay Skurski, the Bills lowered DiMarco’s 2020 cap hit from $2.35 million to $1.9 million, creating $450,000 savings.

DiMarco, 30, originally signed on with the Chargers as an undrafted free agent out of South Carolina back in 2011. He later caught on with the Chiefs before joining the Falcons in May of 2013.

After finishing a two-year contract with Atlanta in 2016, DiMarco signed a four-year, $8.4 million deal with the Bills in March of 2017. He’s entering the final year of his contract and set to earn a base salary of $1,800,000 next season.

In 2019, DiMarco appeared in all 16 games for the Bills and recorded three rushing attempts for seven yards (2.3 YPC) and no touchdowns, to go along with five receptions for 41 yards receiving (8.2 YPC) and no touchdowns. He also had 24 kickoff return yards.
