Falcons Signing WR Mohamad Sanu To A Five-Year, $32.5M Deal

ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports that the Falcons agreed to terms with former Bengals WR Mohamad Sanu on a five-year deal.

  • Ian Rapoport reports that Sanu gets five-year deal worth $32.5M and includes $14M fully guaranteed.

His agent, Mike McCartney, has already confirmed the news:

Previous reports had said that Sanu’s market consisted of Giants, Patriots, Falcons, Cowboys, Redskins, and Buccaneers, so there was plenty of interest in him.

However, recent reports were clearly pointing to him signing with the Falcons, even though the Patriots wanted to bring him in for a visit.

Sanu, 26, was taken in the third round of the 2012 NFL draft. He too has played out his rookie contract and was among the best receivers in this year’s free agent market.

In 2015, Sanu appeared in all 16 games and caught 33 passes for 394 yards receiving to go along with 71 yards rushing and two touchdowns.

We had him featured in our Top 2016 Free Agents list.
