Buccaneers Sign Five To Futures Deals

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers officially signed five players to futures contracts for the 2020 season on Monday.

The full list includes:

  1. OLB Quinton Bell
  2. C Anthony Fabiano
  3. DT Jeremiah Ledbetter
  4. OT Brad Seaton
  5. RB Aca’Cedric Ware

Futures deals are essentially camp invites that will give players the opportunity to compete for roster spots during offseason workouts and training camp.

Ledbetter, 25, is a former sixth-round pick by the Lions out of Arkansas in the 2017 NFL Draft. He was entering the second year of his four-year, $2.5 million rookie contract when he was waived coming out of the preseason.

Ledbetter signed on with the Buccaneers’ practice squad shortly after clearing waivers unclaimed. He was promoted to the active roster late in the year but waived with an injury designation coming out of the preseason this year.

Tampa Bay later re-signed Ledbetter to their taxi squad.

In 2017, Ledbetter appeared in all 16 games for the Lions and recorded 14 total tackles and 0.5 of a sack.
