Buccaneers Signing RB Storm Johnson To A Two-Year Deal

The Buccaneers are signing RB Storm Johnson to a two-year contract on Monday, according to Greg Auman of the Tampa Bay Times.

Johnson was among eight players who tried out for the Bengals a few months ago. However, Cincinnati didn’t sign him to a contract.

Johnson, 23, is a former seventh-round pick of the Jaguars back in 2014. He managed to make the 53-man roster in his rookie season, but was unfortunately waived during roster cuts at the start of 2015.

Johnson worked out for a few teams during the season last year, but this is his first opportunity since he was cut by Jacksonville.

In 2014, Johnson ran for 86 yards on 29 carries (3 YPC) to go along with two rushing touchdowns and one reception for -4 yards receiving.
