Buffalo OLB Khalil Mack Visited With The Lions Tuesday

Tim Twentyman reports that Buffalo OLB Khalil Mack visited with the Lions on Tuesday.

Mack mentioned that it’s hard to not get excited about playing next to the Lions’ defensive line talent.

“After talking to coaches you can’t help but get excited with Suh, Fairley and all those guys inside,” Mack said, per Twentyman.

Mack has already met with the Vikings and Jaguars, so he should have no trouble coming off the board in the first five picks.

Earlier today, Peter King reported that the Texans actually prefer Mack to South Carolina DE Jadeveon Clowney, which is a little surprising, but some evaluators have said previously that they would take Mack No. 1 overall.

Last year, Mack totaled 100 tackle — 19 of which were for a loss — 10.5 sacks, three interceptions, five forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.

We have the Jaguars selecting Mack at No. 3 overall in our most recent 2014 NFL Mock Draft.
