Cardinals Claim Three Off Waivers

The Arizona Cardinals officially claimed three players off of waivers on Sunday including:
  1. G Jeremy Vujnovich (Colts)
  2. OT Blaine Clausell (Panthers)
  3. DT Garrison Smith (Falcons)

Smith, 26, wound up signing on with the Dolphins as an undrafted free agent out of Georgia back in 2014. He had brief stints with the Dolphins and Saints before signing on with the 49ers towards the end of his rookie season.

After two years in San Francisco, Smith was claimed off of waivers by the Seahawks at the start of the 2016 season and he returned to Seattle on the following year. Unfortunately, the Seahawks declined to tender Smith a qualifying offer this offseason, which is why he was testing the open market as an unrestricted free agent.

In 2017, Smith appeared in eight games for the Seahawks and recorded nine tackles and no sacks.
