ESPN’s John Clayton tweets that Williams is likely done for the season.

Terrible loss for the Cardinals as he had looked like a great compliment to Beanie Wells. ESPN’s Adam Schefter tweeted an interesting note that in the last two seasons there has been four rookie running backs (Ryan Williams, Mikel Leshoure, Ben Tate and Montario Hardesty) to go down with serious injuries.

Rookie RB Ryan Williams was carted off of the field during tonight’s game against the Green Bay Packers with an apparent knee injury.

The incident had all the warning signs of a very serious injury as Williams was surrounded by his teammates and left holding his head. Replay’s should a Packers defender landing on the back of leg and it was obvious that Williams was in trouble right after the play ended.

Williams has been reported to be great during the teams training camp so his loss could end up being very costly for their young and upcoming offense. We’ll have more as the details become available.
