“No Chance” Of TE Dallas Clark Being Back With The Ravens

Jamison Hensley of ESPN.com writes that there is “no chance” of veteran TE Dallas Clark re-signing with the Ravens this season.

  • Hensley adds that there is a “good chance” Clark will retire this offseason.

The Ravens signed Clark to a one-year deal back in August after Dennis Pitta went down with a hip injury that cost him most of the 2013 season. Over the course of 12 games, Clark caught 31 receptions for 343 yards and three touchdowns for the Ravens.

Clark is an eleven-year veteran who will be 35 at the start of the 2014 season. While he has been more effective than many believed he could be at this point in his career, it’s unlikely that he will find much — if any — interest on the open market.

Baltimore is reportedly doing what they can to lock up Pitta to a long-term deal, but they will need more help at tight end as Ed Dickson will also be an unrestricted free agent in a matter of weeks.
