The Los Angeles Chargers have officially activated WR Keenan Allen, TE Hunter Henry and S Derwin James from the COVID-19 list on Thursday.
These are just housecleaning moves for the Chargers, but it’s obviously good news that they’ve been cleared of COVID-19.
Allen, 28, is a former third-round pick of the Chargers back in 2013. He was entering the final year of his five-year, $46.671 million contract that included $20 million guaranteed when the Chargers signed him to a four-year, $80 million extension.
In 2020, Allen appeared in 14 games for the Chargers and caught 100 passes for 992 yards and eight touchdowns.
Henry, 26, is a former second-round pick of the Chargers back in 2016. He just finished his four-year, $6.38 million contract that included $3.98 million guaranteed and made a base salary of $1.32 million over the final year of the agreement.
Henry is playing out the 2020 season under the franchise tag worth $10.6 million. He’ll be an unrestricted free agent in 2021.
In 2020, Henry has appeared in 14 games for the Chargers and caught 60 passes for 613 yards and four touchdowns.
We have him included in our Top 50 – 2021 Free Agents list.
