Jeremy Fowler reports that the Browns are expected to interview former Jets and Eagles coordinator Marty Mornhinweg this week at the Senior Bowl for their offensive coordinator vacancy.

NFL teams are moving quickly to get their coaching staffs in place this week, but this is the first reported interest in Mornhinweg we’ve seen up to this point.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports that the Browns recently interviewed former Rams HC Mike Martz for their offensive coordinator position.

  • Rapoport refers to Martz as a “wildcard” for Cleveland.

———-

Jeremy Fowler of ESPN reports that former Bears HC Marc Trestman would be interested in talking to the Browns regarding their offensive-coordinator vacancy.

The Buccaneers and Jaguars have both shown interest in Trestman in the past week or so, but Tampa Bay has already hired Dirk Koetter. On top of that, a report from Thursday mentioned that the Jaguars don’t have Trestman at the top of their list, so this could be one of his best opportunities, depending on Cleveland’s level of interest.

————

Multiple reports have confirmed that the Browns are “parting ways” with OC Kyle Shanahan and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains, so changes are once again coming to Cleveland’s coaching staff.

Mike Garafolo of FOX Sports mentions that the Browns interviewed Falcons OC Dirk Koetter for their head-coaching vacancy last year, and Raiders QBs coach John DeFilippo for their offensive coordinator job.

Koetter’s future in Atlanta appears to be over as they are in the process of finding a new head coach. Koetter has already interviewed with the Buccaneers, so it wouldn’t be surprising to see the Browns bring him in for an interview in the coming weeks.

As strange as this sounds, Jason La Canfora reports that Charlie Weis is likely to be among the  possibilities to replace Shanahan in Cleveland. Weis has had success in the past as an offensive coordinator, even though his record as a head coach has been less than stellar.

We’ll have more updates regarding the Browns and their offensive coordinator position as the news is available.
