Chiefs Sign TE Tim Wright

The Kansas City Chiefs have signed TE Tim Wright to a contract on Monday.

Wright, 27, wound up signing on with the Buccaneers as an undrafted free agent out of Rutgers back in 2013. He spent a year in Tampa Bay before he was traded to the Patriots in a deal for G Logan Mankins.

After a year in New England, Wright was claimed off of waivers by the Buccaneers before being traded to the Lions. Detroit brought Wright back on a one-year, $675,000 contract for the 2016 season before waiving him last summer.

In 2015, Wright appeared in nine games for the Lions and caught nine passes for 77 yards receiving and two touchdowns.
