Colts Re-Sign WR Deon Cain & DT Kyle Peko To Practice Squad

The Indianapolis Colts announced Monday that they’ve re-signed WR Deon Cain and DT Kyle Peko to their practice squad.

Here’s the Colts updated practice squad:

  1. OL Jake Eldrenkamp
  2. LB Skai Moore
  3. WR Chad Williams
  4. DE Gerri Green
  5. CB Deante Burton
  6. TE Ian Bunting
  7. RB Bruce Anderson
  8. WR Deon Cain
  9. DT Kyle Peko

Cain, 23, is a former sixth-round pick of the Colts back in 2018. He’s in the second year of his four-year, $2,625,636 contract with the Colts and stands to make a base salary of $570,000 for the 2019 season.

The Colts waived Cain on Saturday to make room for QB Chad Kelly

In 2019, Cain has appeared in seven games for the Colts and caught four passes for 52 yards receiving and no touchdowns.

Peko, 26, wound up going undrafted out of Oregon State back in 2016. He later signed on with the Broncos, but was waived coming out of the preseason and later signed to the team’s practice squad.

Peko was on and off of the Broncos’ active roster for a few years before signing on with Bills during the 2018 season. He returned to Buffalo on a futures contract this past January before being waived and later claimed by the Colts a few weeks ago.

In 2019, Peko has appeared in four games for the Bills and recorded four tackles and no sacks.
